Standing in Dereham-Neatherd ward:
Ann BOWYER
I have been your Green Party town councillor for the past 12 years.
I have also had the honour of being your Mayor in 2009 to 2010.
During that time I have played a key role in:
- Refurbishment of the Memorial Hall.
- Open spaces and Green infrastructure plan.
- Commons forum.
- Refurbishment of Dereham Windmill.
And have also served on a number of other committees.
I believe we need to:
- Attract new businesses to Dereham.
- Engender a pride in the town by showcasing what Dereham
has to offer.
- Improve facilities in the Town.
My main aim is to help make Dereham an attractive place for all.
These are challenging times, not only with regard to the economy but
also planning. A holistic approach which takes account of housing
business/jobs, infrastructure and environmental impact is essential
and if elected I will help to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for
Dereham.
I am seeking re-election to the town council and am also seeking
election to the District Council, where influence is greater. I hope
you will be able to give me a vote, a green vote.
