Standing in Watton: Peter BATE
I am a technology teacher in a local secondary school, which is a subject in which I get to teach green values and the design of greener products and at A-level a greener society. I have been teaching locally for 20 years. Previous to this I had a career in the military.
If elected I would aim to be an active and effective councillor with special interest in education and industry and to help keep Breckland clean, healthy and full of promise.
The Green Party believes that education should provide everyone with
the knowledge and full range of skills they require to participate fully
in society and lead a fulfilled life. The Green Party rejects market
driven models of education that see its role only in terms of
international economic competitiveness and preparation for work.
