About me:

I have made Breckland my home since 1991, formally in Dereham, but for the past decade at Ovington. As a life member of the Green Party I have been actively involved with real local issues including challenging Breckland’s flawed Local Plan at the official inspection.

I am a self-employed electronics design engineer, married with grown up children.

As an Ovington Parish Councillors and previous Dereham Councillor and Mayor, I have a fair bit of experience of local politics. I'm passionate about getting Breckland Council to be more open and accountable and therefore work better:

"To get robust decisions you need to consider different views, Breckland needs more than just blue clones."

Let's stop dodgy property deals (Barham Broom Country Club), overseas bank investments (Iceland) and outsourcing important local services (Capita Planning), none of which were wise, successful or profitable.

The Ward boundary:

Saham Toney district includes Carbrooke, Bradenham, Scoulton and Ovington.

When to vote: 2 May, 2019

Polling stations open at 7:00am and close at 10:00pm. The ballot boxes will be sealed and the count takes place in Dereham the following day, 3 May.

How to vote:

You should have received a polling card by post with your name on it. As long as you are registered to vote, you do not need the card, but it is easier if you take it with you to your polling station.

If you have misplaced your polling card, you can still vote. You may need basic ID at the polling station.

On entry to your polling station (you must use the correct one, see list below) give your name and address to the 'Presiding Officer' and they will issue you with a ballot paper. Take this to a booth and using the pencil provided, enter a cross in the box alongside your chosen candidate(s). Fold your ballot in two to keep your choice private and post it into the ballot box located near the Presiding Officer.
